YuMe Forges Partnership With Autotrader.Com Access For Behavioral Targeting

AutoTrader.com’s Ad Network Gains Access to YuMe’s Premium Video Inventory to Reach an Audience of Auto Purchase Intenders

Redwood City, CA—August 17, 2009—YuMe, the first dedicated video ad network and provider of the leading video ad management platform ACE, announced today that they have partnered with AutoTrader.com Access, AutoTrader.com’s advertising network that allows advertisers to effectively and efficiently reach in–market car shoppers across the internet.  The partnership will offer behavioral targeting across YuMe’s network of premium video content, enhancing the qualified audiences and campaign ROI AutoTrader.com Access offers to advertisers.

“The marriage of our in–market data with YuMe’s video ad network will help us deliver more value to those advertisers who want to reach qualified audiences and maximize their campaign ROI,” said Anne Steinhauer, AutoTrader.com vice president of national accounts, who oversees AutoTrader.com Access.

AutoTrader.com will be the endemic automotive site and reseller of behavioral targeting across YuMe’s premium video ad network.  This is the first partnership of this kind, where a leading automotive site and video ad network and technology company have aligned to reach auto intenders as they are engaged in watching video content.

“We are very excited about our partnership with AutoTrader.com Access because it will deliver more value to automotive advertisers and the publishers within our network,” said Jayant Kadambi, co–founder and President of YuMe.  “With YuMe, AutoTrader.com now has the technology and video inventory at scale to reach the extremely valuable in–market auto audience.”

Because the purchase and decision making process continues on after a visitor leaves a site, this partnership will benefit advertisers who are looking beyond endemic auto sites to retain or create awareness for their brand.  By leveraging data about the viewers’ browsing behaviors, search histories and video consumption habits, YuMe delivers relevant video ads to consumers who are currently in the market for a particular product or service.  For example, AutoTrader.com Access will now have the opportunity to target video ads to viewers who have recently searched and compared vehicle prices online or searched for a specific car make and model.
