Co-Founder Jayant Kadambi Will Serve as President and on the Board of Directors

Redwood City, CA—August 12, 2008—YuMe, the largest dedicated video ad network on the Web, announced today that online media veteran Michael Mathieu has joined as CEO as the company begins global expansion and growth and heightens its focus on building new relationships with advertising agencies and publishers.

Co–founder and former CEO Jayant Kadambi will take on a new role as President and will remain a member of YuMe’s Board of Directors.

“We spent months looking for the right leader to continue the success we’ve demonstrated since YuMe was started,” Kadambi said. “Michael is a strong addition to YuMe’s executive team at this critical time and I’m looking forward to the leadership and experience he will bring to our growing company.”

Mathieu was previously the President of the Internet Division of Freedom Communications. Freedom is a privately owned information and entertainment company, which operates print publications, broadcast television stations and interactive businesses. The company’s portfolio includes more than 70 newspapers, including The Orange County Register, magazines and other specialty publications, plus news, information and entertainment websites to complement its print and broadcast properties.

“This is a great opportunity to lead a business like YuMe that has already achieved such rapid growth and is now poised on the cusp of the coming explosion in video consumption and the proliferation of online video ad opportunities,” Mathieu said. “We have an outstanding management team in place and I look forward to working with all of them to drive global growth for the company in the coming years.”

Prior to Freedom, Mathieu was SVP at United Online, Inc., where he oversaw the explosive growth of the company’s media group that helped drive the company’s transition from dial up ISP to a global media business. Mathieu built a 70–plus member team that was responsible for all business, fiscal and sales functions.

Earlier in his career, Michael worked for AT&T, CompuServe, and Wang Laboratories holding various positions in sales and marketing.
